Our hens are happy, healthy, and have space to roam, which means you get eggs that are as fresh as possible. Eggs are collected daily and left unwashed, just as nature intended.

Because the natural protective coating (called the bloom) remains intact, these eggs do not require refrigeration right away and stay fresh longer than store-bought eggs.

The difference comes from a natural diet, sunshine, exercise, and low stress for our hens.

Why Aren’t the Eggs Washed?

Commercial eggs are washed, which removes the egg’s natural protective layer called the bloom. Once removed, eggs must be refrigerated to prevent bacteria from entering through the shell pores.

Because our eggs are not washed, the bloom remains intact and acts as a natural barrier that helps keep the egg fresh longer.

If you prefer to wash your eggs, simply rinse with warm water right before using.

Do Farm Fresh Eggs Need to Be Refrigerated?

Unwashed eggs can safely be kept:

• On the counter for about 2–3 weeks

• In the refrigerator for up to 3 months or longer

Refrigeration will extend shelf life, but is not immediately necessary when the bloom is intact.

Tip: If you choose to refrigerate, try to keep eggs at a consistent temperature.

Why Are the Eggs Different Colors?

Egg color depends on the breed of chicken, not quality or taste.

Our hens may lay:

• Brown eggs

• White eggs

• Blue eggs

• Green eggs

• Speckled eggs

All colors are equally nutritious and delicious — the inside of the egg is essentially the same.
